Father's Day Fun

.
Will's first Father's Day was a ton of fun! We had such a sweet weekend. It was lazy, crazy and a bundle of joy . . . just like the little girl who made my husband a father {the bundle of joy part!}

Saturday morning, we woke up and went to the Farmer's Market, where we found several beautiful vegetables, a delicious pie, and some yummy organic eggs. Pictures on that to come Wednesday. That afternoon, Anna Lyn and I ran around doing secret Father's Day errands, while Will took a long nap. That evening, we decided to go out to one of our favorite places ~ the Alabama Shakespeare Festival ~ and take a long walk to feed the ugly ducklings.

Sunday, we woke Will up to a homemade breakfast in bed. Anna Lyn then gave Dad the card that we made for him. After getting the idea from my friend Mandi, we decided to make a Candy Card for Will. We changed a few things {because we couldn't find all the candy} and I think it turned out really well!

After going to church and eating lunch at a mexican restaurant in town, we came home and Anna Lyn and I presented our {little} cards and another gift for Will . . . a framed photo collage with a verse about the inheritance from the Lord for godly fathers.

{a side note: this photo collage was created and printed for FREE from Walgreen's. I found the deal on Southern Savers. Check them out for fun and free deals!}

Will wanted to go swimming at the YMCA {a new Anna Lyn favorite} on Sunday afternoon, so we went for about an hour. We wrapped up the evening at home with leftovers and each other. Such a vibrant First Father's Day weekend. I am so thankful for my daughter's father! He totally and completely deserved a weekend devoted to his wonderful-ness!

Hope each of you had a fun and restful Father's Day weekend!
