Cannin'

.
So, I have a new hobby. Well, not quite a hobby yet, but I'm certainly hoping it turns into one. Right now it's more conceptual than anything else.

I want to Can . . .   Become a Canner . . .   Be one who Cans . . .

You want to Can what you may ask?

Well, I want to Can vegetables that I've grown in my own garden.

This year, though, it's not so much looking like it. I *thought* that I had ordered seeds from an online store.  Interesting, right. I *thought* that I had ordered them. So for weeks I just waited for them in the mail. Then one day I broached the subject with Husband. It went something like this:

Me: Hey Husband, did you ever see anything go through on the banking account about seeds?

Husband: Hmm, let me check. No, I don't see anything.

Me: Are you sure? I've been waiting for these seeds...

Husband: Oh yeah, there's nothing

So great. Crazy post-partum zany woman imagined that she ordered seeds for her garden after spending a few hours online researching the types that she needed from this particular nursery . . .   boo

Well, anyway, I'm going to start Cannin' this year whether they are my very own homegrown veggies or not. Here are my supplies. The dream is alive people. Hopefully the dream will become more tangible.

My inspiration . . .

found, might I add, at an estate sale for only $2

so of course I had to get this nifty set . . .

and the jars needed these . . .

in hopes that I can do this soon . . .

{these are my grandmother's}
