A Belated "Thank you"

You know what the old adage... "Better late than never!"

Well, I have a "thank you" to relate!

To preface, just know that Will and I have the most wonderful families in the world. I've been having complications since delivering our angel, and our families have stepped up in a HUGE way to make sacrifices in order to stay with us to help me not only to care for Anna Lynn, but also do the cooking, cleaning, etc that makes a household run!

It's always amazing to me to see the love that my family has for each other. I know that this love started in my own life when I was in my mother's womb. My parents have loved me from the moment that they knew that I existed, and each day since my birth my mother and father have reminded me, not only in words but with actions, of the love that they have for me.

What's incredible for me to realize is that this constantly pointed me to the cross, even before I knew it. 1 John 4:19 brings tears to my eyes... "We love because He first loved us..." Thank you Father God for loving me before I knew what that even meant so that I could be taught what it means to love others. A world without love would be a sad place indeed!

So now, introducing those that I would like to thank. They came, they stayed, they listened to the crying (not only of my infant, but of me as well), they cleaned, they made me laugh, they loved not only with words but with action.

We love you more than you know! I only pray that I remember every day to show and tell you!

"Papa" - my Daddy

"Ganne" - My mommy
(btw Mom, how did we not get a post-delivery pic
of you in the two weeks you were here?!?)

Aunt Susanna -
my sister and inspiration for the "Anna" of Anna Lynn

"Coco" - Will's mommy

We LOVE you!!

  2. This is my verse for the day... thought you might like it:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." ~Jesus (2 Corinthians 12:9)

The older I get, the more I realize that being weak is NOT a problem. He has a plan for us! Amen and amen! Blessings of peace and comfort to you and your family.

  3. Melissa,

Thanks so much for your sweet comments! I'm learning so much as a new SAHM (stay at home mom.) It's been a joy, but also definitely a test of patience and faith sometimes.

Thank you so much for the verse! I'm trying to have a memory verse for the week.. this one is perfect!
