Anna Lyn Goes to the Fair

It sounds like the title of a children's book, right? Well, it's not. It's the reality of the situation.

We Stanfords love the Alabama National Fair... It all started here, folks.

Renaissance and I had our first "official" date at the Fair three years ago. Crazy? You don't have to tell me!

We're crazy. That's Stanfords 101.

This year {as we have an additional Stanford among us} we decided that she must tag along!

Anna Lyn and her Daddy are SO ready for the fair! Can't you tell?!

We made our first stop at the livestock exhibition. Couldn't resist seeing how she would react...

Interesting, right? I never knew...

Scoot is looking less than thrilled...

We'll call it the "Lack of Petting" Zoo

Oh, the midway! We love the Ferris Wheel.

Side Note: Last year, I may or may not have ridden on it 7 months pregnant.

Aunt Sarah came with us!

Enthralled by her first experience with the Racing Pigs.

Daddy tried to explain it all! Good effort...

Oh, so much fun was had by all! Although our trip was chilly with mist and a bit of rain, we managed to thoroughly enjoy ourselves! I don't know what it is, but there truly is something about the fair! All walks of life come together to enjoy this crazy event. You see everyone from infants to senior citizens.

I'm thankful that our family enjoys simple pleasures like this! Looking forward to next year! I can't believe that by that time, Scoot will be almost 2! Mercy...
