Ode to my Darling

Okay, so this is my first "official" blog post. I know, I know...I've been letting Mary Fran have all the fun, so there's no better way of kicking this thing off, than to talk about my favorite person in this entire wide-wide world, my beautiful bride Mary Frances.

First of all, how good is the Lord that He should bless me with the daily brightness that exudes from this wonderful woman? It's in the warmth of her smile, the smell of her hair, the feel of her hands, the music of her laughter. It's unmistakably present in her heart for the Lord, her love for children, and her passion for living life and loving love.

It seems like just yesterday that we were holding hands for the first time or when I made her ride the "Himalayan" at the Alabama National Fair because I knew that the centrifugal force would scoot us closer together and I could put my arm around her. :) It seems like hours ago that the whole world stopped as the church doors of Perry Presbyterian opened to reveal this gorgeous woman walking toward me and we became Man and Wife. I seems like seconds ago when she called out to me and showed me that beautiful plus sign on the first of four pregnancy tests (just to make sure, ha ha).

And now, after 1 year and 9 months of marriage I look back with a smile and a glow in my heart and look forward to the next steps we are about to take. And if it hasn't been made clear to this point, I LOVE YOU DARLING, AND I ALWAYS WILL!!!

So, here's to my darling, my love, my best friend...

Here's us at the aforementioned AL National Fair's ferris wheel (p.s. she's amazing at the hold the camera and take a picture of yourself...amazing)

By His Grace,
~ Will

  2. Thanks so much for your sweet words, Melissa! I really enjoy watching and learning from you about your family, and I know that'll only increase as soon as our little Sweetpea makes an appearance!
